PIPL Summary: A second nest was found on Bodie Island Spit this week. Both nests are being incubated. On Cape Point we have one remaining brood. There is no current PIPL breeding activity on North Ocracoke. On South Point we have two broods and one active nest. Scraping continues to be documented on South Point.

Wilson’s Plover (WIPL) Summary: No new activity.

American Oystercatcher (AMOY) Summary: We currently have twelve AMOY broods, two active AMOY nests and ten fledged AMOY chicks. Bodie-Hatteras District has five AMOY broods, two active nests and three fledged chicks. Hatteras District has four AMOY broods and five fledged chicks. Ocracoke has three AMOY broods, two fledged chicks and one pair on a scrape territory.
