Beach Access Update:

The pedestrian shoreline access (approx. 0.9 of a mile) adjacent to the Cape Point prenesting closure that begins 0.3 of a mile west of "the Hook" closed to pedestrians today due to multiple American oystercatcher and piping plover scrapes found inside the prenesting area. The ORV route on the east side of Cape Point to 0.3 of a mile west of the Hook remains open to ORVs and pedestrians.

Beach Access Update:

The pedestrian shoreline access from 0.1 to 1.5 miles south of the Ramp 27 prenesting closure is closed to pedestrians due to American oystercatcher pairs exhibiting breeding behavior inside the prenesting area. Ramp 27 remains open and the ORV route north of Ramp 27 remains open to ORVs and pedestrians. In the same general area, Ramp 30 remains open for ORV and pedestrian access.

The pedestrian shoreline access area adjacent to (seaward of) the prenesting area west of Ramp 45 is closed to pedestrians due to American oystercatcher breeding activity inside the prenesting area. Ramp 45 remains open to pedestrian use with 0.3 of a mile of shoreline open. Ramp44 remains open to ORV access to Cape Point.
